February to May

The spring months in Nepal are from February to May and this season is considered as the best season to visit Everest Base Camp Trek. At this time, the weather is generally dry and stable which is a perfect combination to walk to high altitude regions. Besides, you will be showered with wonderful views of flower blossom. The whole rhododendron forests on the route look colorful and vibrant giving you positive and energetic vibes. At time point of the time, the route is quite crowded as it is the most cherished season to visit the Everest Base Camp. Even the temperature up there is not to cold. The trekkers who would like to avoid cold would probably go for this season.

This season is best time for you to visit Everest Base Camp if:

September to October

September – October is also an ideal time for trekking to Everest Base Camp. In this season, the days are clear that will provide wonderful views of mountains and glaciers. Although in this season, the days and nights can be colder, the picturesque views of mountains are the positive aspect of trekking in this season. As people generally avoid cold, you may find the route less crowded than in spring season which can be a positive aspect of trekking in this season.

Apart from these two seasons, November to January and June – August are not preferred for trekking to Everest Base Camp. November – January are too cold and the route is full of snow making the walk to Everest quite difficult. June – August are rainy seasons and the route is quite sloppy during this period.

November to January

This season is not so preferred for trekking to Everest Base Camp because at this point of time, the weather is very cold and the route is covered with thick snow. The thick snow on the way makes walking difficult. Even the cold weather is quite unbearable.

June to August

This season is not so preferred for trekking to Everest Base Camp. It is the rainy season which makes the trail quite sloppy and moist. The forest area will be full of leeches which make walking quite difficult and troublesome. Even the views of mountains can be obstructed due to cloudy and gloomy weather. Therefore; this season is not so preferred for trekking to Everest Base Camp.
