Ethnic food, traditional handicraft, Gurung culture, Gurung Museum, panoramic mountains views and natural sceneries are the prime attraction of the Ghale Gaun homestay.

Traditional cultural dances like the Jhyaure, Serka, Dohori, Ghantu dance, Ghyabring, Krishna Charitra and Jhakri are performed on various occasions and tourist love these dances in Ghale Gaun homestay. Taking advantage of its unique location and rich culture, Ghale Gaun has recently been promoted as a destination to experience village tourism. There are over 100 Gurung-style houses in the village, a number of which have been specially prepared for visitors with comfortable basic amenities.

Ghale Gaun, a pristine destination quite popular among the South Asian villages is the perfect example of home stay in Nepal based tourism destination in Nepal to explore typical Nepalese life style of warrior ethnic Gurung tribe (Most of them are in military groups in Nepal army, Indian army and British army). Ghale Gaun is situated at an altitude of 2070m from sea level.

Trip Itinerary

A representative from Bharal Adventure will pick up the guests at the airport and escort them to their hotel. They will be explained about the program for their journey, however, no activities are planned for the day. Nevertheless, an evening stroll could be arranged if the guests show an interest.

A guided tour around the historically and spiritually significant landmarks in Kathmandu will be scheduled after breakfast. These landmarks constitutes of Pashupatinath Temple, Swayambhunath – the Monkey Temple, Boudhanath and Kathmandu Durbar Square where you could enjoy the artistic palace, art, culture, paintings and history of ancient medieval Nepal. In the afternoon, pre-trip discussion session will be arranged enabling the interaction between the guests, trek leader and crew members.

Early morning drive from Kathmandu to Beshisahar approximately 6 hours and again drive to Ghale Gaun. Heartily warm welcoming by the typical local peoples. Dinner with typical cultural show, typical local food and overnight.

Wake up early in the morning, hike to Ghanapokhara to enjoy sunrise and clear eye appealing enchanting scenery of a green terraces landscape, panoramic view of Annapurna I, Annapurna II, Himalchuli, Bouddha Himal, Mt, Manaslu, Annapurna South and sceneries of nature. In the afternoon, Sightseeing in the village to see a typical houses made by stones and the life style of local peoples. Cultural show in the evening with their own cultural dances and songs, local cuisines and overnight.

Drive back to Beshisahar and towards Kathmandu. En-route, you will get a opportunity to see Manakamana temple by riding in cable car from Kurintar. And continue to Kathmandu.

On this day, the Bharal Adventure team bids farewell to the guests and one of the representatives will escort the guests to the airport approximately three hours before their scheduled flight.
