Overview

Annapurna Base Camp Trek is known as one of the beautiful, popular and short treks located in the Annapurna region. It is probably the best legendary and classic trek in the world, offering the stunning views of iconic mountain Himchuli, Annapurna South, Barahi Sikhar, Annapurna I, Tent Peak, Singachuli, Glacier Dom, Gangapurna, Annapurna III, and Machhapuchhar. Also, this trekking route offers you the best experience of Nepali village, local people and the lifestyle of the remote Himalayan region. For the trekker, it will be a great experience and very hard to get involved with their culture. The trail route pass through the various landscape and traditional villages like Gurung village and Magar village, also in the various section of trekking trail you will enjoy walking with a dense forest of Rhododendron, bamboo, and Alpine forest till the end of destination. 

Mt Annapurna is the 10th highest mountain in the world whooping 8091m and the base camp stands at 4130m above seas level. The trekking up to Annapurna base camp will take you via Mt Machhapuchhare (fishtail) which is revered by the Nepalese beauty for its unique display and the highest point of your trek.

 While walking through the trail you reach the large rock overhanging, known as Hinku Cave. The entrance to the cave is blocked. You will spot high cascading waterfalls and you will get to learn about people of different ethnicity when visiting the Ghandruk village. Depending on which route you choose, you may not pass through Ghandruk though. The trail offers you the other trekking route too like Ghorepani Poonhill, the trail is the same from Chomrong onward.

Trip Itinerary

Day 1 : Arrive at Tribuvan International Airport (TIA) Kathmandu

A representative from Bharal Adventure will greet and accompany the guest from the airport to their hotel. The guests are briefly explained about the program they will be participating on.

Day 2 : Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing Tour

One of our guides will accompany the guests for their sightseeing excursion in Kathmandu where they will be visiting the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath Stupa – The Monkey Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple, all of them declared as the UNESCO World Heritage sites.

Day 3 : Kathmandu – Pokhara [910m/2,985 ft]: 6 hrs

Soon after breakfast, the group will set off on a long scenic drive to Pokhara, the second largest city of Nepal. After checking in to the hotel and taking rest, leisure boating on the picturesque Fewa Lake will be arranged for making the evening pleasant.

Day 4 : Pokhara – Naya Pul and Trek to Tikhe Dhunga [1,495m/4,905 ft]: 4 hrs

Begin your trek from Naya Pul and hike to Tikhe Dhunga. The trail passes through charming villages and terraced fields, offering glimpses of local life and providing a gradual introduction to trekking.

Day 5 : Tikhe Dhunga – Ghorepani [2,850m/9,348 ft]: 7 hrs

Ascend through rhododendron forests and quaint villages to reach Ghorepani. The trek offers stunning views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges.

Day 6 : Hiking -Poonhill [3,180m/10,430 ft], trek to Tadapani [2,500m/8,200 ft]: 6 – 7 hrs

Wake up early to hike to Poon Hill, a vantage point offering breathtaking sunrise views over the Himalayas. Afterward, trek to Tadapani through lush forests and picturesque landscapes.

Day 7 : Tadapani – Chhomrong [2,020m/6625 ft]: 5 hrs

Descend to the beautiful Gurung village of Chhomrong, enjoying panoramic views of Annapurna South and Machapuchare along the way.

Day 8 : Chhomrong – Dovan [2,600m/8,528 ft]: 5 hrs

Descend through bamboo and rhododendron forests, crossing the Chhomrong Khola, and climb up to Dovan, a serene settlement surrounded by nature.

Day 9 : Dovan – Deurali [3,200m/10,500 ft]: 4 hrs

Continue your trek through lush landscapes, ascending to Deurali, where the air gets thinner, and the scenery becomes even more spectacular.

Day 10 : Deurali – Annapurna Base Camp [4,210m/13,810 ft]: 5 hrs

Reach the Annapurna Base Camp, surrounded by towering peaks. Marvel at the breathtaking amphitheater of mountains, including Annapurna I, Annapurna South, and Hiunchuli.

Day 11 : ABC – Bamboo [2,310m/7,575 ft]: 7 hrs

Descend from Annapurna Base Camp, retracing your steps down to Bamboo. Enjoy the changing landscapes and the sense of accomplishment.

Day 12 : Bamboo – Jhinu Danda (Hot Spring) [1,780m/5,840 ft]: 6 hrs

Trek to Jhinu Danda, where you can relax in natural hot springs, soothing your muscles after the trek. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings and unwind.

Day 13 : Jhinu Danda – Pokhara [910m/2,985 ft]: 5 hours walk and 1 hour drive

Descend to Naya Pul and drive back to Pokhara. Reflect on your trek and enjoy the comforts of Pokhara, a lakeside paradise.

Day 14 : Pokhara – Kathmandu: 6hrs

Drive back to Kathmandu, allowing you to reminisce about your trek and enjoy the scenic landscapes along the way. Check back into your hotel in Kathmandu.

Day 15 : Farewell

After a memorable trekking adventure, bid farewell to Nepal. Our representative will transfer you to Tribhuvan International Airport for your departure. Depart with fond memories of the stunning Annapurna region and the warm hospitality of Nepal.
