About Seti River Rafting

Seti River Rafting , you can have a fairly short trip in the Seti River. It offers beautiful mountain views. Also unique river passing through two beautiful and contrasting scenic areas of Manaslu and Annapurna regions. This river has relatively small volume but blue and warm water. We recommend this as an ideal short trip for first time rafters or as “warm-up” for intermediate kayaks. Seti is best River for learning kayak in Nepal since it has very best character for this. The water temperature is incredibly warm. This makes it a popular choice for winter trips and also for kayak clinics for the course of beginners, diploma and advanced as well. After your exhilarating white water trip you have options either to drive or fly back to Kathmandu.

You can also visit the royal Chitwan national park or again go for the trekking trip in the popular area of Annapurna region for few days. The gentle river follow from the Himalayan peaks having plenty lots of small and straightforward rapids. During the monsoon the intensity of the rapids increases and attracts a radically different set of rafters. Seti river rafting starts at Damauli, a small village that lies in the Prithivi highway in between Mugling to Pokhara. We take a drive along the Trishuli River admiring the lush landscape for around six hours until we reach Damauli.

Upon our arrival, we attend a short briefing programme and continue 32 kilometers rafting until we reach at the confluence of Trishuli and Kaligandaki River at Devghat. We officially end our rafting journey at Devghat. The Seti is a very suitable river for family trips and it’s the best river to learn kayaking in Nepal. Please tell us if you are a non-swimmer, or not very confident in the water. Also it is essential that you inform us of any medical conditions that may affect your well-being on the trip.

Outline Itinerary

  • Day 01 - Pokhara – Damauli – Rafting, 2 hrs drive and 3 hrs rafting
  • Day 02 - Riverside Camp – Rafting – Chitwan/Kathmandu, 4 hrs rafting and 3-4 hrs driving

Detail Itinerary

Day 01 - Pokhara – Damauli – Rafting, 2 hrs drive and 3 hrs rafting

We leave Pokhara in the morning and drive to Damauli, 2 hrs, our put in point. After the rafts are rigged we will set off down the Seti River. We spend the whole day within its forested canyon. The luxuriant vegetation we see is a remnant of the vast forested area, which once covered the middle hills of Nepal. Even now we are objects of curiosity to the villagers.

Travelling by rafts is a perfect way to view undisturbed wildlife. When we stop for lunch we have time to explore, Photograph, bird watch, swim or relax. Later in the afternoon we encounter a small, but technical rapid near the village of Saranghat. Inhabited by Magars, who are renowned for generations of service with the Gurkha forces Saranghat, is a colorful middle hills village. We will set up camp on a spacious beach below the village. Lunch and dinner included.

Day 02 - Riverside Camp – Rafting – Chitwan/Kathmandu, 4 hrs rafting and 3-4 hrs driving

After we have finished breakfast and repacked the raft, we will set off down river. Later we encounter the technical rapid grade 3 shortly after the rapid we leave Seti Khola and enter Trisuli River. Here the middle hills recede and the Terai plain opens before us. The Topography has changed dramatically. The twisted severe rock formations give away to sandstone and gavel deposited by antecedent rivers. After lunch we have opportunity to visit a unique religious community ,Devhgat . Each Year thousands of pilgrims visit the ashram to worship. The rafting ends at Gaighat and drive back to Kathmandu or visit Chitwan National Park.

Solo travelers welcome!

I went to Nepal on a 9-day trek in the Langtang region a couple years ago. I was traveling on my own so I really appreciated to be with a trustworthy and friendly guide Sujan. I would definitely recommend his agency and would like to go back myself!

Annapurna base camp

We did our trekking to Annapurna base camp & Muktinath with Arjun from Bharal Adventures. Quite a well-organized trip and both Arjun and porter Hari presented themselves with professionalism and we enjoyed the trip. It was awesome to watch Annapurna and Machhapuchare

Recommander l’Agence Bharal Adventure

EBC trekking with Bharal Adventure

We team of 6 from Malaysia undergoing our trekking journey guided by our professional tour guide, Arjun Dhakal & 3 good porters. We managed to make it to EBC on 19 May 2018. Arjun he is well in arranging our itinerary included route, accommodation, meal and even care about our safety. I was having bad cough and walking very slow far behind my teammate on my last day of trekking down to Lukla. And he was walking next to me, never left me alone. Together we finally reached Lukla within estimated time. Due to bad weather, we were stuck at Lukla for 1 day, as our flight is on the day after. Arjun had been trying his best to get us helicopter ticket on the next day. Once ticket confirmed, we went down hill to Sukey to catch our helicopter. From there I saw some others feeling upset as they waited for 6 hours but couldn’t get their helicopter ticket back to Kathmandu. We are blessed that Arjun never dissappointed us. He had make us a wonderful and unforgettable trip. Thanks to Arjun! Highly recommended tour with Bharal Adventure

Excellent people!

After many searches on the internet, fate took me to contact Arjun, one of the founder of Bharal Adventure. After emailing for 2 months, I eventually took the trip to EBC.

Arjun, despite being on the road or enroute to EBC always did his best to reply to my email or whatsapp and patiently responded to my question. He did that in between is trekking whenever he got internet access. This includes giving me a very good price for the trip.

So, I took the trip in Apri to May 2018. I was met by Bharal Team at the Airport and took my hotel. The first impression was really good as the Team really looked after me well. They ensure everything was ok and constantly checking with me if everything was ok. They also ensure that I contact them if I needed assistance.

I met Arjun the night before the trip. He is a very nice, pleasant and polite young man. He is very open to all the situations that I might face including the additional costs that might be incurred such as personal shopping, extra meals and coffees, tipping, etc.

There were 5 of us in a group that trekked to EBC. We met at the airport in Kathmandu heading for Lukla. In Lukla, we were accompanied by 2 porters and 1 Sherpa and a group leader. So, there were 9 of us together as a team.

The trip went very well despite we had to medivac 2 of our team members at Gorekshep. The Team organized the helicopter the night before and constantly in contact with their team member in Kathmandu to ensure our team members are looked after when they reached Kathmandu by helicopter. The rest of us, continued our trip to Cho La Pass and Gokyo Ri Lake.

The view was fantastic. I promise myself, circumstances forbid, that I will be coming back and heading for higher altitudes.

We completed the trip and along the way we built not only friendship with the entire team (including the sherpa and porters) but also a small family that travel and solve the issues together.

When we arrived back at Lukla, we were stranded for 1 day due to bad weather. Our team leader ensured that we eat and sleep well and did his best through his connections to get us on the first flight the following day, despite we missed our original flight and there were many other passengers.

In summary, the trip went very well and we were looked after extremely well by professional team of Bharal Adventure.

My recommendation to potential clients of Bharal Adventure, if you have needs or concerns (including cost) please just be open to them. They are open, respected and young people who place trust and honesty very high in their business dealings.

Perfect Everest Base Camp Trek

Really beautiful vacation - I intensely suggest this! You meander through this long beautiful river valley in the environment of steep slopes that begin out at 15-22,000 feet.Yet, soon enough you can see your destination off far afield away - the every highest mountains in the world. Its as a result marvelous to both be where you are but to as well as see where your journey is to comply to you. Also unbelievable are the 500 year pass sweet, easy, astonishing Buddhist Sherpa villages. And don't forget to fade away into the Tengboche Monastery - what a treat. I'm going protection!
