Lobuche Peak Climbing

Lobuche Peak Climbing  is one of the adventurous adventure in Nepal. It lies at 6,119 meter height which is located in the Everest region. Nepal’s most popular trekking route, the Lobuche peak has mainly two-ridges. The East Ridge is known as Lobuche east peak with 6,119 meter height. In addition another is the west ridge as Lobuche west peak with 6,114 meter height. It offers an opportunity to have summit from both the sides. However, we have arranged program for the Lobuche east peak summit. It is a dark, rocky and sloppy pinnacle and is situated above Khumbu glacier. The peak consists of several small summits and the true summit requires climbing steep snow and ice slopes to the top from the summit ridge. We follow Everest base camp trek route up to Pheriche and then trek to Dughla.

Bharal Adventure offers you a full board package for Lobuche including the climbing permit from the NMA and all other necessary logistics – from arrival in Kathmandu up to your departure. Detail Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu: Arrival day

Day 1: Kathmandu: Arrival day

Welcome to Nepal! You've landed in Kathmandu, the historic capital city. We'll be waiting for you at the airport, and will transfer you to your hotel. Take rest and Bharal Adventure representative will brief you about the further journey.

Day 2: Kathmandu to Lukla, Lukla to Phakding

We’ll be taking the short flight to Lukla, the departure point for our trek. The adventure officially begins as we take off on foot for the four-hour walk to Phakding. The trekking is easy and the ground smooth as we follow the Dudh Koshi River. We'll overnight in Phakding, a major stopping point for Himalayan trekkers going in all directions.

Day 3: Phakding to Namchebazar

Khumbu villages splashed with brightly-colored prayer flags dot the way to Namche Bazaar, the largest habitat of the Sherpa villages. It's a six hour hike today, still trailing the Dudh Koshi, and crossing it periodically over precipitous suspension bridges.

Day 4: Namche Bazaar: Accumulation day

Today's a day is for rest. We believe in gradual acclimatization to prevent altitude sickness, and so today we stop over in Namche Bazaar. The intrepid can opt for a two-hour hike to the famous Everest View, which will help you acclimate and show off some majestic mountain views! By itself, Namche is full of interest. Check out the museum dedicated to Sherpa history and the people's role in helping trekkers - there is a whole exhibit dedicated to Hilary. Do some shopping, and meet the locals.

Day 05: Namche Bazaar to Dole

A steep climb up to Kyangjuma Village is accompanied by the views of Thamserku, Katenga and Ama Dablam peaks. From here begins the most strenuous ascend of the day to Mong La, an extremely charming place perched on the vicinity of Mt. Khumbila accommodating an ancient historical Chorten at the center of its settlement area. A relaxing lunch in the area and the trek ahead is pleasing with the scenery of abundant plants and vegetation including wildflowers and rhododendrons accompanied by wildlife throughout the journey to Dole.

Day 06: Dole to  Machherma

The trail starts up with scenic ridge above Dole and proceeds through amiable summer settlements and fascinating hamlet of Luza (4360m) along the Dudh Koshi Valley towards Maccherma, the last major settlement on the way to Gokyo. This is also the place where the Khumbu people first sighted Yeti in 1974. A visit to Himalayan Rescue Hospital is scheduled where the team attends a lecture regarding the altitude sickness, its precaution and primary treatment.

Day 07: Machherma to Gokyo

Climbing through a ridge Chorten, the team moves through Pangka (4480m) to terminal of Ngozamba Glacier towards Lake Longpongo on the bank of which is consigned the Lama footprints on a stone, passing through Lake Taboche Tsho towards the third lake by which Gokyo Village is settled. A relaxing lunch will be further rewarded with an amusing walk along Dudh Pokhari, the third lake.

Day 8: Gokyo Valley: Acclimatization Day

For acclimatization, a trek to Gokyo Ri will be arranged on this day with the exciting prospect of visiting the other three mesmerizing lakes of the Gokyo Valley. Thonak Tsho and Ngozuma Tsho are the fourth and fifth lakes beyond which the base camp of Mt. Cho Oyu and Gyachung Kang being only a stone’s throw away. The further exploration to the sixth lake shall depend upon the interest and time available.

Day 9: Hike to Gokyo Ri  to Thaknak

Gokyo Ri will be scaled today if it hadn’t been done the previous day. The three to four hour climb is arduous, however, totally worth it! The views of the glaciers, lakes and peaks are awe-inspiring and mystifying. More mesmerizing is the sight of sunrays kissing the Everest. After descending the Gokyo Ri, lunch will be served just before we proceed on our trek to Thaknak.

Day 10: Thaknak to Cho-La Pass

One of the toughest days of the journey, trek to Cho-la Pass and Dzongla starts early at around 4-6 am. The steep trek includes a glacier traverse on the eastern side. Passing through frozen lake, steep and rocky trails and some crevasses, the convoy descends to Dzongla after the tough ascend to Cho-La Pass.

Day 11: Dzongla to Lobuche, Lobuche: Acclimatization Day

A short walk with more time for observation and relaxation fills this day with the transfixing views of Ama Dablam, Kangtega, Thamserku, Thaboche until the team arrives at Lobuche.

Day 12 : Lobuche Base Camp to Dingboche

We finally begin the long road back home as we descend from the LBC towards Dingboche. The trail meets up with the path back from the EBC, making for excellent company!

Day 13: Dingboche to Namche Bazaar

The path is becoming easier as we trek downhill towards Namche Bazaar, and it's much less work this time around to literally stop and smell the flowers – thick forests of rhododendron and juniper in glorious red and pink bloom.

Day 14 : Namche Bazaar to Lukla

This day is our last day of trekking, we cross the spellbindingly gorgeous Khumbu region of the Himalayan foothills en route to Lukla. It's a seven hour trek today, but the grade is gentle and our walking is easy. Savor these final, seemingly endless moments of fresh, cool air, scenic countryside, and the stone steps beneath your feet - all too soon, it will be over! We'll lodge in Lukla tonight, and you'll have the perfect opportunity to do a bit of farewell partying with your trekking group.

Day 15 : Lukla to Kathmandu

We're back in the air, only this time going in the opposite direction! We'll hop the 35 minute flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu, leaving ample time to settle in and rest after two solid weeks of trekking.

Day 16 : Kathmandu: Departure Day

Our journey has comes to an end, but we hope your memories of Nepal and the staff of Bharal adventure will last a lifetime! It’s our pleasure to transfer you to the airport in time for your flight home, or to simply bid a fond farewell as you move on to other activities.

Solo travelers welcome!

I went to Nepal on a 9-day trek in the Langtang region a couple years ago. I was traveling on my own so I really appreciated to be with a trustworthy and friendly guide Sujan. I would definitely recommend his agency and would like to go back myself!

Annapurna base camp

We did our trekking to Annapurna base camp & Muktinath with Arjun from Bharal Adventures. Quite a well-organized trip and both Arjun and porter Hari presented themselves with professionalism and we enjoyed the trip. It was awesome to watch Annapurna and Machhapuchare

Recommander l’Agence Bharal Adventure

Everest Base Camp – Wonderful Trekking Experience 26 Nov – 7 Dec 2017

Me and my friends did EBC trekking from 26 Nov to 7 Dec and we had the best experience with Arjun from Bharal Adventure. I am The Snail Queen and I am not a strong climber and hiker but Arjun and the porters Robin and Sham helped me a lot so I can fulfill my dreams to reach Everest Base Camp. Thanks A lot for making this a memorable journey, thank you for sharing your knowledge on all the mountains and thank you for really showing me Nepal and its people and wonderful nature and of cos the magnificent and majestic mountains . I definitely recommend the services from Bharal Adventure if you are looking for more than just a hiking trip but a memory that lasts a life time

EBC trekking with Bharal Adventure

We team of 6 from Malaysia undergoing our trekking journey guided by our professional tour guide, Arjun Dhakal & 3 good porters. We managed to make it to EBC on 19 May 2018. Arjun he is well in arranging our itinerary included route, accommodation, meal and even care about our safety. I was having bad cough and walking very slow far behind my teammate on my last day of trekking down to Lukla. And he was walking next to me, never left me alone. Together we finally reached Lukla within estimated time. Due to bad weather, we were stuck at Lukla for 1 day, as our flight is on the day after. Arjun had been trying his best to get us helicopter ticket on the next day. Once ticket confirmed, we went down hill to Sukey to catch our helicopter. From there I saw some others feeling upset as they waited for 6 hours but couldn’t get their helicopter ticket back to Kathmandu. We are blessed that Arjun never dissappointed us. He had make us a wonderful and unforgettable trip. Thanks to Arjun! Highly recommended tour with Bharal Adventure

Suk wang,

Excellent people!

After many searches on the internet, fate took me to contact Arjun, one of the founder of Bharal Adventure. After emailing for 2 months, I eventually took the trip to EBC.

Arjun, despite being on the road or enroute to EBC always did his best to reply to my email or whatsapp and patiently responded to my question. He did that in between is trekking whenever he got internet access. This includes giving me a very good price for the trip.

So, I took the trip in Apri to May 2018. I was met by Bharal Team at the Airport and took my hotel. The first impression was really good as the Team really looked after me well. They ensure everything was ok and constantly checking with me if everything was ok. They also ensure that I contact them if I needed assistance.

I met Arjun the night before the trip. He is a very nice, pleasant and polite young man. He is very open to all the situations that I might face including the additional costs that might be incurred such as personal shopping, extra meals and coffees, tipping, etc.

There were 5 of us in a group that trekked to EBC. We met at the airport in Kathmandu heading for Lukla. In Lukla, we were accompanied by 2 porters and 1 Sherpa and a group leader. So, there were 9 of us together as a team.

The trip went very well despite we had to medivac 2 of our team members at Gorekshep. The Team organized the helicopter the night before and constantly in contact with their team member in Kathmandu to ensure our team members are looked after when they reached Kathmandu by helicopter. The rest of us, continued our trip to Cho La Pass and Gokyo Ri Lake.

The view was fantastic. I promise myself, circumstances forbid, that I will be coming back and heading for higher altitudes.

We completed the trip and along the way we built not only friendship with the entire team (including the sherpa and porters) but also a small family that travel and solve the issues together.

When we arrived back at Lukla, we were stranded for 1 day due to bad weather. Our team leader ensured that we eat and sleep well and did his best through his connections to get us on the first flight the following day, despite we missed our original flight and there were many other passengers.

In summary, the trip went very well and we were looked after extremely well by professional team of Bharal Adventure.

My recommendation to potential clients of Bharal Adventure, if you have needs or concerns (including cost) please just be open to them. They are open, respected and young people who place trust and honesty very high in their business dealings.

Perfect Everest Base Camp Trek

Really beautiful vacation - I intensely suggest this! You meander through this long beautiful river valley in the environment of steep slopes that begin out at 15-22,000 feet.Yet, soon enough you can see your destination off far afield away - the every highest mountains in the world. Its as a result marvelous to both be where you are but to as well as see where your journey is to comply to you. Also unbelievable are the 500 year pass sweet, easy, astonishing Buddhist Sherpa villages. And don't forget to fade away into the Tengboche Monastery - what a treat. I'm going protection!
