Difficulty level of Mardi Himal Trek

Mardi Himal trek is a Nepal moderate difficulty climbing offers stunning views of the Himalayas There is a gradual uphill walk through dense forest and local village before the landscape opens into one of the best views Machhapuchhre (fish tail), Annapurna South and Huinchuli.

While a Mardi Himal trek does not require any technical climbing skills, there are steep ascents and descents, with some parts of the trail consisting of narrow paths along precipitous drops. Altitude sickness is a real risk as the trek reaches its highest point after 4,500 meters (14.763 feet) of Mardi Himal Base Camp. Allow plenty of time to acclimate properly.

For the Mardi Himal trek considered as an easy and moderate level trekuip the age between 10 to 45 years of fitness ages (as few uphills some little experience & acclimatization needed). This would be the best option for you if you want a peaceful trek off from crowd of Ghorepani- Poon Hill Trek in Annapurna region. It takes about 5 days to cover the entire distance of this route and can be stretched up t0 ten days depending on how you plan your ride.

Based on Mardi Himal trip evaluations, it is one of the most stunning as well as satisfying walkings in Nepal with much fewer groups than various other prominent routes.

Best Season for this trek

Trekking to Mardi Himal is accessible all year, however the best seasons to visit the base camp are spring (March to May) and fall (September to November). Spring is more colorful, rhododendrons bloom, and the skies are often clearer in October. If you wish to escape crowds, December, January, February, and March are ideal months; it will be chilly and snowy. Mardi Base Camp will be unable to hike up to Mardi Upper Viewpoint.

Food on this trek

Simply choose a food from the menu. The majority of teahouses offer Italian, Indian, Tibetan, and continental cuisines, such as pizza, pasta, spring rolls, and spaghetti. Our guide will provide foods for vegetarians and vegans that are practical. You will be served fresh vegetables as well as Dal Bhat, a mainstay of Nepalese cuisine. Meat is provided for those who enjoy it; nevertheless, we recommend that you avoid consuming it after a specific spot. The guide will advise whether the meat is safe to eat, even if it is not fresh and has been carried from the city.

Accommodations on this trek

The lodges or teahouses that offer lodging are run by a local family. If we remove some exquisite luxury lodges, the regular lodges have individual rooms with two beds or 4-5 beds placed in a dormitory-like configuration. Please do not expect bathrooms in every teahouse; some have them. Lodges at Mardi Himal, Annapurna Base Camp, Poonhill, Everest, and other sites have recently been upgraded with modern amenities. It will be difficult to find private rooms during peak times, but we will do our best. Squat or flush? Most locations feature flush toilets. You'll find clean rooms with cushions and warm blankets (if you require sleeping bags, you may get them in Kathmandu or Pokhara).

Taking showers and drinking water on this trek

Hikers are cautioned not to drink water directly from the tap. On most routes, you may buy hot water, mineral water, or filtered water. We recommend utilizing water purification tablets on the treks (if you are accustomed to them). We advise hikers to use alternatives because there is a big problem with plastic bottles along the trail. If you use a purification tablet, our guide will be able to get clean water from the tap. Both are ineffective in some situations, so purchasing water bottles is a safe bet.

Aside from Badal Danda, most restaurants offer showers where you can take a hot shower for between $1 and $4 USD.
